During the course of our lifetime, we all will face an event that leaves a lasting impact. It may be a loss of a loved one or traumatic episode. An event that can leave lasting false messages about ourselves and our world. Therapy can assist in providing insight and perspective that promote healing and change. As a Native American Female therapist, I will provide culturally sensitive/appropriate services with a focus on Person Centered, Strength based, Relational care. I will provide a safe space for you and serve as your guide on your path to healing and self realization. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Everyone goes through times in life that are overwhelming and you have good reason to feel the way you do. The good news is you don’t have to endure things alone. I believe (and research supports) that counseling helps us find new ways of navigating painful experiences. People find counseling to be helpful for a variety of reasons: having space to process confusing emotions, feeling understood and supported, learning new ways of coping, and engaging in a trusting and therapeutic relationship. My areas of interest and specialty include: general mental health, depression & anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relationships & family of origin, multicultural & identity concerns, LGBTQIA+ issues, emotional development & resiliency. My approach is empathic, non-judgmental, and collaborative and I believe strongly in your ability to enact change. I bring a supportive yet challenging style to help you grow and I would welcome the opportunity to work with you.

I offer my clients a compassionate, creative, and collaborative approach in their healing work. I use psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and integrative therapies encouraging my clients to find meaning in their life's journey and struggles as well as find new ways to care for the self. Although I am a generalist when it comes to working with a variety of diverse clients and issues, I also believe strongly in the mind/body connection and help my clients find ways to reconnect and find balance in their lives. This is especially helpful when dealing with grief, relationship issues, life transitions, or trauma. I do have a focus on treating people who have experienced trauma in their lives, either as a child or adult. This includes emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. In working with couples, I assist in identifying core patterns which are unhealthy or destructive. I teach healthier ways of relating, including learning how to communicate effectively. As a psychologist, my main modality of treatment is through talk therapy. However, with clients who have an interest, I often use other expressive modalities. Some of those include the use of art, writing, mind/body awareness, mindfulness meditation, guided imagery, or music. I am the owner and clinical director of this small group practice.

I use an integrative, individualized approach with clients because I believe therapy is a journey based on trust, and should be a space that honors clients knowledge and personal needs. Therapy is more than just a place to vent, and I strive to help people create forward movement. My style is warm, candid, and when appropriate, fairly humorous. My own journey as a daughter, partner, and mother to a 15 and 10 year old informs my work deeply. I work hard to create a space where clients feel free of judgment, while still gently challenging people to do things that may be uncomfortable. My main specializations are in reproductive mental health (perinatal, postpartum, loss, and infertility), queer family systems, and adults with ADHD. Using a relational lens is critical to my work, whether it's with individuals or families. We are deeply impacted by the relationships in our past and present lives. I use a lot of attachment theory in my work, and have special interest in helping people who may struggle to be vulnerable or may feel marginalized by their communities. I try to make the therapy process feel a little less scary and intimidating, and work with clients to help build the lives they seek and deserve.

I find joy in helping others navigate life and identify various ways to grow through their individual circumstances while becoming stronger in the process. I provide a a safe and non-judgmental space for Individuals and Families to process their lived experiences. I am most equipped to work with those seeking support or a listening ear in a time of need for anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship challenges, parenting challenges, microaggressions, and trauma. Most of my experience is working directly with women, children, and families meeting needs related to education, support, mental health, and crisis intervention. I utilize mindfulness, Cognitive behavioral approaches and encourage clients to pursue holistic approaches to health (exercise, proper sleep, routines, work-life balance, etc.). My goal is to create a safe space to be unapologetically you! My approach is person centered, strengths based, and trauma informed. My therapeutic focus and passion is working with individuals who have experienced childhood trauma, are neurodivergent, and/or are a member of the LBTQI community. In our culture, neurodivergent and LGBTQI individuals are often ostracized and othered by their surrounding communities. I, myself, am a neurodivergent member of the LGBTQI community (bisexual) and identify as gender queer. My goals with individuals usually involves restoring past trauma, radical acceptance, and helping them recognize their innate ability to thrive through hardships. I am trained both in EMDR and AIR Network therapy. Both of these therapies provide invaluable insights into our life and can be incredibly useful when working through childhood trauma. Life can be difficult to navigate and sometimes it’s made a little easier when you have someone to talk to. If you feel like you would like someone to work alongside you on certain issues or goals, I invite you to connect with me.
